This time it's a different kind of episode than you're used to. This episode isn't about me and my own adventures, but about a special duo I met during my journey. In this video you will meet Gil and Capi. They are the dynamic duo that experience everything, but really everything, together. Capi is Gil's four-legged friend. Yes… Gil travels with his dog, and he wouldn't want anything else.

Capi is now 1.5 years old, but the adventure started when Capi was only 4 months old and had received all his vaccinations. He was strong enough and together they got on their bikes and rode off into the adventure.

Gil was already a real holiday cyclist and had been doing so for many years. When he met someone on his trip with his dog, he knew he wanted to make such a trip too. No sooner said than done.

Capi was ready to travel from an early age. Gil had a special basket for Capi in which he could sit. This basket started indoors, of course, but soon Gil wanted to put the basket on the bike. Because Capi was already so familiar with this basket, it was no problem to ride it this way. Of course, Capi isn't in the basket all day. When the landscape allows it, Capi runs loose and always follows.

Spending the night with Gil and Capi is fun to watch. Capi is always allowed to stay inside Gil's tent and having a dog so close to you has many advantages. That way it is always nice and warm. If it's really cold, Gil has an extra blanket for Capi, so they can both sleep well and warm.

When I talk to Gil about "my" way of travelling, he agrees that it's a great way to discover the world. Because I do it alone – so without a dog – I have more space and therefore a little more freedom. Gil of course has to take into account his purchase of dog food and has to take Capi's energy into account.

Gil's goal is to travel through Mexico and continue this journey through other countries. Of course I wish him all the best and I hope that the two of them will have great adventures. Curious about the video, watch it below!
