KOGA Vectro lightweight e-bikes
The KOGA Vectro is a comfortable and lightweight E-bike, built to ride long distances. On this E-bike you’ll be able to hear and feel nature around you and enjoy the optimum cycling experience.
The Vectro is unique and will change the way you look at E-bikes forever. This is because we have positioned the battery centrally in the frame, behind the seat post and as close as possible above the motor. The upshot is a central and low centre of gravity in the bike, which ensures the best weight distribution, steering characteristics and cycling experience.
Characteristics
The battery’s positioning creates an entirely new experience. This avoids any unnecessary strengthening of the frame that makes it heavier and creates a bike with a slender frame that is also lighter and stiffer compared with E-bikes with a battery placed in the downtube. A big advantage of the Shimano STEPS EP6 motor is that you hardly feel any resistance when you cycle without support.
You will not feel any resistance as well even above 25 km/h. The result is a light and sporty E-bike that above all looks, rides and feels like a normal bike. A bike that enables you to ride long distances without difficulty and makes you forget you are riding an E-bike. The perfect touring bike.
Model details
The Vectro series comprises three different models: the S30, S20 and S10. Each model is equipped with the new Shimano STEPS EP6 motor. The S10 and S20 contain a Shimano Deore groupset and Deore XT/SLX groupset respectively.
The S20 is the sportiest model in the series. This can be seen from the different saddle and handlebar, which are optimised for a sporty riding position. In contrast, the S10 and S30 provide a more comfortable riding position.
Finally, the Vectro S30 is fitted with a Shimano Alfine 11-speed gear hub and a low-maintenance, reliable Gates belt drive.
Men's bicycle or women's bicycle
The 3 Vectro models are all available in a men's bike variant with frame tube at the top and a women's bike variant with a low step through. To guarantee stability, this women's bicycle variant is equipped with an extra frame tube that runs parallel to the down tube.

Featured characteristics
The battery is positioned as low and as centrally as possible in the frame, which ensures the best weight distribution and stability. Partly because of this you’ll hardly notice you are riding an E-bike.
The 2.8-inch display has a large colour LCD screen, which makes it easy to read. You can use the Shimano E-Tube Project app to set up the screen according to your preferences and connect your phone to your bike.
The Shimano central motor is seamlessly incorporated into the frame. A major advantage of this motor is that you’ll hardly notice any resistance when you cycle without assistance and even above 25km/h you will not feel any resistance. The Vectro rides and feels like a normal bike.

Frequently asked question
- Make sure your battery is always charged when you set off.
- Set the assistance most as low as possible
- Make sure your tyres are always inflated to the right pressure (as indicated on the side of the tyre)
- Select a light gear. Change to a lower gear when cycling into the wind or cycling uphill, as you would with a bike without assistance.
- Tip for winter! Charge the battery pack at room temperature as it will charge faster. The starting temperature will also be higher then, which improves the range. This will prevent the battery from self-discharging and other potential damage being caused to it.
The capacity of the battery has a major influence on your e-bike’s range, but factors such as road surface, wind, and how much you and your luggage weigh also matter. It is therefore hard to say exactly what the range of a KOGA e-bike is. On our website you will find estimates for most models.

For a proper answer to this question, please ask your KOGA dealer, who has a more detailed knowledge of bike carriers and can give you better advice about them.
With regard to the maintenance and safety of your bike, there are a number of things you can keep an eye on yourself.
For your own safety, you should check the following on a regular basis:
- Check all nuts and bolts - in particular quick-release mechanisms on wheels - are tightened securely.
- Check the handlebars and handlebar stem for signs of damage.
- Test the brake operation by checking whether you can stop within a few metres when cycling at a normal speed.
- Check that the tyre pressure does not exceed the maximum pressure marked on the tyre.
- Check the tyre tread and ask your dealer if the tyres look worn.
- Check that the lighting and indicators are working properly and are not obstructed. Wipe clean them regularly with a dry cloth.
- Check the handlebar grips for wear and make sure they are tight.
- For bikes with rear suspension, check that all screws on the suspension parts are tight. There must be no play in the bearings.
Checking these items and performing your own maintenance on them is not always straightforward. For this reason KOGA recommends arranging for your KOGA dealer to service your bike at least once a year.
You can also consult the instruction manual that came with your bike.
Always follow the charging advice that came with your e-bike. A dry room whose temperature is between 10 and 25 degrees Celsius is perfect for charging the battery. For safety reasons, we recommended charging the battery near a smoke detector. Also keep the battery in sight while it is charging. For example, we do not recommend recharging it unattended in your home at night.
KOGA has outlined all the basics on e-bikes online at about e-bikes. More information about the particular technology used or a specific e-bike can be found in the instruction manuals.
As with all other batteries, the ones in our e-bikes, are subject to wear. Battery capacity decreases over time, however it’s impossible to say exactly how long each battery will last.
The delivery time on a KOGA bicycle depends on the model you want, the frame size and colour. Ask your KOGA dealer what the current delivery time is for the particular bike you’re interested in.
Yes it will, provided that your bike is fitted with Bosch, Emotion or Shimano technology. For security reasons, the batteries on e-bikes that use ION technology are not interchangeable. The KOGA dealer can however register an extra battery to another ION bike. It is not possible to register the same battery to more than one bike.
